The effect of salt on the freezing point of water.

PURPOSE
This experiment was designed to determine if the salt could cause water to freeze at a lower temperature. I am interested in this because I am not convinced that placing salt on the roads is the best thing for us Vermonters and I could find out if it really is necessary to help the roads. Maybe another option is more effective.
